Sector/country reports

ProQuest One Business provides access to tens of thousands of sector and country reports from renowned publishers, such as the Economist Intelligence Unit, Oxford Economics, or Fitch Solutions, as well as reports from the J.P. Morgan Research database. Depending on the report series, the focus can range from global industry surveys, regional industry analyses, or country macroeconomic data.

How to search for Sector Reports:

• Type a term from the sector you are looking for, for example: ‘steel’ in the search box, and the system will try to predict the sector you are looking for and present you with suggestions below the search box;

• On the navigation page, click on the ‘Industries’ image, and select the ‘Reports by sector tab’. Here, you can search for a specific sector via the search box and/or select a country or report editor via the drop-down menus.
• 
• On the Advanced Search page, select ‘Sector Reports’ on the left hand side of the screen, where you can use all the search boxes to search for the reports that best suit your needs;

• We recommend that you first click on the ‘'Search for terms by industry’ link. A new overlay window will then open. Type the sector you are looking for and you will obtain a list of results with the corresponding number of documents next to each one. Select the checkbox next to the appropriate industry – you can also select multiple entries – and then click the ‘Add to search’ button. Close the overlay window. You will now notice that the name has been added to the 'Term by industry' search box with the appropriate term;

• To select a specific type of report, you can use the 'Report containing' options at the bottom of the screen, and, for example, select 'Industry risk' to narrow down your search to reports containing a risk analysis.

How to search for reports by country:

ProQuest One Business offers thousands of country reports. Note that reports with a regional or continental focus (e.g., Asia or Western Europe) are also archived in country reports.

There are several ways to search for them:

• Click on ‘Advanced Search’, select ‘Reports by Country’ on the left hand side of the screen. You can use all the search boxes on this page to search for the reports that best suit your needs;

• Use the ‘Search Locations’ search box.  A new overlay window will open. Then search for the country, state, or the region you are looking for. You will then obtain a list of results with the number of matching documents next to each one. Mark the checkbox next to the appropriate location – you can also select multiple entries – and click the ‘Add to search’ button. Close the overlay window. You will see that the name of the location has been added to the ‘Location’ search box.

To focus your search on reports with a specific type of content, you can apply the ‘Report containing’ options at the bottom of the screen, for example, select ‘Economic forecasts by country’ in order to limit your search to reports containing forecasts for the country or region in question.
